the overnight: part II

the overnight had been waaaay outrageous even though we were only about 10 in the overnight. after watching that hilarious dead or alive intro, playing nba, x-men, and creating a stupid character in that boxing game (i forgot its title) that was meant to imitate ellard's face but unexpectedly became elshad's!, walking by the beach at about 1am and smuggling another cottage's beds!, is there anything more fun to do? haha. lean's birthday had been the best!

the overnight: part I

this day i was excused for the whole afternoon from for the parade of the grade school intrams. i got really exhausted but i was thinking of the overnight we will have for that night. after the parade i brought my friend Gio home with me to accompany me to pack my things up and get ready for la vista. we just played a couple of songs then got off. i went directly to netwatch after packing my things then waited for my friends who will also go to the overnight arrived. after waiting for almost an hour, i decided to go home because i thought they would never come. but before i could make my move and go out through the door, they appeared. haysalamat.

skipping thursday

thursday night was one of my greatest nights. i had my greatest moment in the tricy. i don't want to go any further about the details anymore because its quite personal. hmm. nothing significant happened last thursday anymore other than that of the moment in the tricy. last thursday i was just being excited for our overnight in la vista for the following day because there will be no parents there. it was only us, about ten or fifteen boys owning the night.

last week's wednesday

Wednesday hadn't been very nice. after being scolded by our moderator and being told, "irresponsible", my day didn't get any better. what made my day a little bit lighter was our three period free time. although i forgot what i did in last week's three period break, i have a feeling that it was fun.

I am looking forward to watch Nancy Drew starring Emma Roberts as Nancy Drew. I love movies with this kind of theme so I think that I would like Nancy Drew. I heard about the books and a lot of people say that it's nice. Here is a brief plot outline of the movie Nancy Drew:

This movie is about Nancy Drew going to Los Angeles California with her father, who was going there on business. While she was there she happened upon a mystery that involved a murdered movie actress, and her daughter. Nancy found out her her daughter was, when nobody even knew that the actress had any kids, and the actress's daughter inherited all of the actress's money. At the end of the movie, once they got back home, Ned and Nancy kissed for what I think was their first actual kiss, and right after their quick kiss Nancy's father told her that she had a call from some people in Germany, who were talking about the Loch Ness Monster. A lot of people are in love with chocolates. For some people, eating chocolates makes them happy and just makes their day. For all the chocolate-lovers out there, here are some interesting facts about CHOCOLATES:

1. A single chocolate chip provides sufficient food energy for an adult to walk 150 feet; hence, it would take about 35 chocolate chips to go a mile, or 875,000 for an around-the-world hike.

2. It is reported that Napoleon carried chocolate with him on his military campaigns, and always ate it when he needed quick energy.

3. Chocolate can be lethal to dogs. Theobromine, an ingredient that stimulates the cardiac muscle and the central nervous system, causes chocolate's toxicity. About two ounces of milk chocolate can be poisonous for a 10-lb puppy.

4. Consumers spend more than $7 billion a year on chocolates.

5. Annual per capita consumption of chocolate is 12 pounds per person.

6. Eating chocolate makes you happy because it contains phenylephylamine - the same hormone the brain triggers when you fall in love.

7. The melting point of cocoa butter is just below human body temperature - this is why chocolate melts in your mouth.

8. Dental studies report that eating chocolate does not cause cavities.

9. Chocolate has over 500 flavor components, more than twice the amount found in strawberry and vanilla.

10. Chocolate syrup was used for blood in the famous 45 second shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock's movie, "Psycho" which actually took 7 days to shoot.

not so good saturday

saturday didnt go well according to my plans. band practice once again became the single obstacle that kept me from doing what i wanted to do. again i had to wake up early for practice that started at 8:30am and ended at about 12:30pm. with luck, i had not need to practice anymore because only the ones who had not memorized the pieces for the parade will stay. leaving the school at 11, i immeadiatley came home to have lunch and thought of something fun to do in the afternoon. i had two options. its either spending my whole afternoon in netwatch or go out and watch the 5th harry potter movie. since my classmates and some other friends were all in netwatch, i decided to stay and play for atleast 5hrs. after a couple of poor and unsatisfying games, i wished i hadnt been there anymore---thanks to jasper for convincing me to stay and play. i came home with those poor scenes in the game twirling in my mind and those words that drilled through my dignity. "kosaya se mogul bien useless! nuay pa gad sirbi el mogul, kosaya!". like 'ouch'! i never wanted any of those again. i went to bed with a broken heart, wishing i didnt stay in netwatch playing.

last week's friday

last week's friday was fun. the whole class was excused by their clubs to help for the club recruitment. we stayed in the classroom in the morning just for the election of student government officers then after that we all proceeded down the lobby to our own clubs' booths.
we didn't do anything the whole day but sit around and have fun with other fellow sfc members by making funny but cool videos. we did that the whole day. thinking of any good or funny idea and shooting it right in the lobby. we didn't care what other people thought of us when we were shooting our videos because almost all sfc members joined the fun. late in the afternoon, i received a message that our band practice was canceled making my day happier and unspoiled. By completing my day, i joined my classmates playing basketball. after all those activities, i went to bed and had my nap which ended my day perfectly.

sHoCkInG!!!

I was really shocked when I saw this site that has a list of characters killed in the 7th Harry Potter book (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows). Alastor Moody, Dobby, Remus Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, Severus Snape and Colin Creevey were some of the characters killed. I was so frustated when I saw that Hedwig and Fred Weasely were also included in the list. Hedwig is so cute and it will really be hurtful to Harry since Hedwig is such a dear friend to him. Also, Fred Weasely is funny and adds life to the story. Even though some great characters were killed, I'm still happy because Voldemort died.

Here is an epilogue:

In the story's epilogue, set nineteen years later, Ginny Weasley and Harry are married and have three children named James, Albus Severus, and Lily. Ron and Hermione are also married. They have two children named Rose and Hugo. The two families meet at King's Cross Station when they are taking their children to Platform Nine and Three Quarters for their departure to Hogwarts. Lily is too young to attend Hogwarts just yet, Albus is entering his first year at the school, and James is already an experienced Gryffindor. James finds Teddy Lupin (named after Ted Tonks, Nymphadora's father), the son of Lupin and Tonks, kissing a girl named Victoire, who can be assumed to be the daughter of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour. Neville Longbottom is now the Herbology professor at the school. At the station, Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione spot Draco Malfoy across the platform with his unnamed wife and their son Scorpius; Malfoy gives Harry a curt nod. Harry notes that his scar has not hurt in nineteen years. The book ends with the words "all was well."

Music and lyrics is very cute movie. It is about believing in yourself that you are good and great even though others are putting you down. While I was watching the movie, I remembered our lesson last time in morality that our self-concept or our vision of who we are determines our behaviour. It is difficult to accept that the vision we have of who we are is the vision that others have about who we are. So when someone will say that your a bad girl, you will think that you are a bad girl.
In the movie, Sophie Fisher (Drew Barrymore) thought that she was not a good writer because she really believed in what Sloan Cates (Campbell Scott) told her. This shows that it is really important to help a person build or create his/her self-concept because our self-concept is influenced by those who love us and those who refuse to love. :)

I'm really excited to read the last book in the Harry Potter series (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows) by the famous author JK Rowling because I find the previous books really cool and super fun to read. For all those Hp fans out there and for those who are super excited about the seventh book, I found this (below) that will make you more excited to read the seventh book:

10 THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW ABOUT HP & THE DEATHLY HOLLOWS:

1. Fans of Book 6, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, rejoice! Author J.K. Rowling stated on her official site that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final novel in the Harry Potter series is virtually an extension of Half-Blood Prince. The themes and events from Book 7 are so closely tied to Book 6 that it's "almost as though they are two halves of the same novel."

2. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will have the largest first U.S. printing of any book in history, with 12 million copies, and publisher Scholastic expects a swift sell-through. (The current record-holder as fastest-selling book in U.S. history is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and it had a first American printing of 10.8 million.)

3. Sixty-five percent of copies in the first U.S. printing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be certified by the Forest Stewardship Council as being comprised of 30% "post-consumer waste fiber," the largest commitment to printing on recycled paper by any publisher in history.

4. Prior to the title being officially announced (unveiled in a December 2006 crossword puzzle on J.K. Rowling's website), rumors spread across the Internet speculating the book would take one of the following titles: Harry Potter and the Pyramids of Furmat, Harry Potter and the Green Flame Torch, Harry Potter and the Toenail of Ickilbogg, Harry Potter and the Pillar of Storge, or Harry Potter and the Mystic Kettle of Knackledirk.

5. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is already the favorite of at least one person, J. K. Rowling herself. "While each of the previous Potter books has strong claims on my affections," J. K. Rowling wrote on her site, "Deathly Hallows is my favourite, and that is the most wonderful way to finish the series."

6. Harry turns 17 years old, and is spending a seventh term at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which climaxes with seventh-year students taking the wizardry tests known as NEWTs. He gets to perform magic outside school -- normally a no-no -- and he will receive an Apparition license.

7. Harry will pay one more visit to the home of his Muggle relatives the Dursleys, during his break from school. But the protection Dumbledore has provided Harry while outside Hogwarts is set to expire.

8. Vital details about Harry's parents -- particularly Lily Potter -- are revealed in Deathly Hallows, such as the significance of the similarity between Harry's and his mother's eyes.

9. Minor tidbits: Harry may get another pet, a Muggle may perform magic, there will be no Quidditch, and Sirius Black's two-way mirror and flying motorcycle make return appearances.

10. THE END: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will definitely be the end of the series, and Rowling has braced her fans to expect deaths of multiple major characters. The final chapter details what becomes of the surviving characters, and Rowling has stated that the last word of the book is "scar."

herbacio day

last week's saturday, one of my most exhausting days, where i was supposed to be in my bed having that nice cold sleep waking up at already about eleven which i have not anymore had in days. another day of boredom and stress, i thought. despite the boredom that enveloped my eagerness of having a peaceful and relaxing day, hope was not lost yet. i still feel its presence deep beyond my system.
im glad that hope didnt abandon me. after a crazy morning having a band marching practice, eagerness filled me. looking forward of having the next hours of that day to be fun, i just went with the flow of my schedule. gradually, everything went well. the greatest part was the play that night. it entertained everyone. all audience went home with smiles, maybe being proud of their own children, or maybe laughing at fellow audience's children. i loved that night-only the night. i arrived home still bearing that smile i got from the outrageous play. and woke up that morning without any sign of anger or disturbance. lalala.

Skeletons in my closet...

Everybody has secrets. No matter how safe you keep it, a secret is always meant to be revealed. For a very long time now, I've kept a secret so vile that I could no longer handle it. I'm still testing the water, whether or not to share this secret to somebody I could rely on. I have to get this out of my system of course. Yet the only problem is, I haven't found a person very trustworthy and rational enough to listen to what I'd have to say... Its a bummer. Really. (sighs)

I like this movie because it is all about love, friendship and cooperation. It is a 2006 American comedy adventure film. It is based on The Night at the Museum, a 1993 children's book by Milan Trenc. It follows a divorced father trying to settle down, impress his son, and find his destiny. He applies for a job as a night watchman at New York city's Ameriacn Museum of Natural History and subsequently discovers that the exhibits, animated by a magical Egyptian artifact, come to life at night. This movie is for the whole family and I'm sure that kids and adults will really love this movie.

Yesterday, after the review class, I went to watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix together with Roshni, AA, Paula, Suzzie, Armie, Karen and Lyndo. The movie was okay but I like the previous one (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) more because there were a lot of missing scenes and the story was a bit different. I like the special effects when they were in the Department of mysteries, Nimphadora Tonks looks cool and Ginny looks beautiful in the 5th movie. I like the Harry-Ginny love team now but I like the Hermione-Harry love team more. I was disappointed with the look of Professor Umbridge because I expect her to really look like the Professor Dolores Umbridge in the book and with Cho's look because of her hairstyle. Anyway, I suggest that you should check out the movie for you to make your own comments about it.

hooray potter!

i cant think of any topic for this entry so sorry mara, ill borrow yours first. tnx!

harry potter..reading it transports you to a magical world filled with excitement and adventure. i already finished all novels when i was in 2nd year and now i forgot most of the plots and characters after not reading it anymore for 2 years. reading it makes yourself awake at night and makes you wanna go on and not stop reading till you get satisfied. this is a book for all to read. believe me, its fun!

i didnt watch the 5th movie yet. i am really eager to watch it. school is the obstacle that keeps me from watching it. i admit, i am also a harry potter fan, not of the movie, but of the book. i sometimes get disappointed when i watch the movies because not all important and fun events are showed. the movies limit the book to only about 2hrs and 30mins! its sooo bitin! not all fun and interesting events are showed in the movie. so its advicable if you read the book first before watching the movie.

i am going to watch the 5th movie. and im not going to miss 1/3s of my life by not watching it. haha. exaj. hmm. sirius black? i remember him.

thanks for reading people. tnx mara!

Since I don't feel like "talking" about my expereince for this day, I'll just sort of "feature" the latest Harry Potter movie which is HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX. This is all about Harry's fifth year in Hogwarts. This is like a summary of the story I got from http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0373889/plotsummary written by someone called "Hpfan":

After a lonely summer on Privet Drive, Harry returns to a Hogwarts full of ill-fortune. Few of students and parents believe him or Dumbledore that Voldemort is really back. The ministry had decided to step in by appointing a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher that proves to be the nastiest person Harry has ever encountered. Harry also can't help stealing glances with the beautiful Cho Chang. To top it off are dreams that Harry can't explain, and a mystery behind something Voldemort is searching for. With these many things Harry begins one of his toughest years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Written by HPfan

I'm really excited to watch the movie because I love the Potter books and movies!

I dont even know what title fits my article!!!

I ran into some of my batchmates the last week and all we could talk about were some issues involving the school and its Jesuit scholastics. According to some of my schoolmates, the school's name and credibility is being marked with dirt and stench. Why do you think so? Well, according to my assets, the main reason for such accusations is the lack of disciple and discernment of the ADZU HS students who are lead, headed and taught primarily by jesuit regents. And this all boils down into the misleading conclusion that our mentors are actually the ones who manifest the lack of discipline and discernment. Ateneo has always been renowned for the quality education it brought forth to its students, yet moral issues still arose. For instance, the issue of simplicity, according to one of my good friends, it is one of the main issues why ateneans are so attached with their material side rather than their spiritual being because accordingly, most teachers themselves are the ones intimidating and provoking the students to look "sosyal" or flashy. What happened to the value of modesty? Most students also complain about the sarcasm and misuse of language by some teachers in the school. These are but a few issues I have collected from my schoolmates and I hope that these remain as gossips for it is very unlikely for civilized human beings like us to indulge in such insolence.

For once, I became a lady..

Once in a blue moon, shall I say.. I do get this lady-like tingles all over me whenever I'm on the verge of crushing on a guy... Well, I dont easily crush on somebody without having to know his standards of course. I saw this guy who walked into my brother's office one time and he looked so smart and elite. He talked fairly well and he was such a gentleman. At first I took his presence for granted, but after overhearing what he said, I was totally impressed! I wont mention his name of course, so as not to mess with other people's fickle imagination.. I cant exactly describe the feeling though, but I was pretty sure I became a lady for once...

I was supposed to be with my classmates playing computer games and having fun, but i had to go to the punlaan practice. and it was whole afternoon! i wish i hadn't auditioned. i regret. the practice ended at about 7pm! i was really exhausted and hungry. i really wished i didn't join. friday was not my day.

Ms. Akiko Thomson visits Ateneo

Yesterday morning, we were invited to attend a talk by Ms. Akiko Thomson, a renowned swimmer. At some point, I kinda admired the way she entertained us. She was not too stiff nor too loose. I also liked her accent and her spirit. She is definitely a career woman! And I really admire her for that. She started at a very young age yet she didnt have any regrets about her past. I also saw a little of myself in her coz I felt her strong determination and focus on what she really wanted to achieve...Success. I too started at a very young age in the political arena, and i hope that like her, I too could emerge victorious in my strong resolve to legislate laws and be of service to others.

Yesterday, I watched Lord of the Rings: fellowship of the ring, the two towers, and the return of the king. I really love the story of this movie. At first, I thought the movie was just all about wars and the like but I was wrong. The movie was about friendship, cooperation, and hope. I really like what Samwise Gamgee said to Frodo that people are still fighting even though it seems hopeless because there is still something good and Legolas is so handsome. Orlando Bloom really looked different as Legolas, I was not able to recognize him at first because he looks so different here from his role in Pirates.

Also, it is nice to play soccer if it's raining because we don't feel that exhausted and we don't have to bother about getting "negra"...hehehe.
It is so fun to play soccer because it makes you forget your problems and it also develops friendship and cooperation. I was also able to meet a lot of people through playing soccer. :)

aNoThEr TiRiNg DaY...

This day is a really tiring day because I have tons of tasks in school. I started my day by waking up at around 5: 30 AM to finish my physics assignment and to review in religion for an oral quiz. After that, I did my usual "morning routines" then went to school.
We did a reflection entry in homeroom, visual representation of command economic system in economics, and then made a journal on baptism in Filipino during the morning. This Filipino task really made my day tiring because I was not able to finish it during our Filipino period. In the afternoon, we had our computer class, then a new lesson in trigonometry and a very difficult short quiz in physics.
I hope tomorrow would not be as tiring as today since it's schedule B. :P

CANON-by pachelbel. but made waaay cooler by Jerry C!!!

have you already heard of the song entitled Canon? the one revised and made waaay cooler by jerry Chang?? if not, i pity you. Canon is one of the best songs in this damn planet! if you hear it the first time, it will never get out of you mind. it will play for almost forever unless you bump your head a hundred times into the wall. the original canon was composed by Johann Pachelbel in 1680, where it was still played with orchestral instruments. now, canon has been made wicked sick because of the super extraordinary amateur guitarist Jerry C adding all sorts of sweep picking, pinched harmonics, and fast pace picking and legato to the song. Now, canon has more than 20 million views and more that 800 pages of comments in youtube posted only on December 2005! try listening to it to have an addition to your favorite songs. thats all. rock on!! canon!!

Thursday was Okay...

Another routinary day shall I say? (sighs) After school, I did my homework, watched my favorite show then went to bed. But I had a very weird dream. I dreamt of this person who has been stalking me last year! Studies say that humans are the ones creating their dreams, therefore I came up to the conclusion that my subconcious was telling me to remember or recall that person. Weird? Ah, nevermind. Its a silly dream anyway. I woke up at 2:36 in the morning after being terrified by the look of that "gender-confused" stalker...

Wednesday: Environmental Awareness

We watched a documentary about environmental issues based on profound research and presented by Mr. Al Gore. It was through watching that film that made me realize the effects of inhuman activities to nature. We have abused and misused our resources to the extent that the world might end up in global warming thus leading to worldy devastation! 50 years might just be a blink away, therefore as civilized human beings, we should be responsible enough to take care of the God-given gifts we have, coz we might not know when exactly he can take these all away from us... Our lives are at stake, we should act now, we should start now. Let us remain staedfast in our duties of being caretakers of God. Let us not destroy everything our ancestors have worked hard for. Pollution can be stopped only if we want to. Disasters can be avoided only if we act.

Tuesday's with Tita...

I had a wonderful afternoon and dinner with my Tita Penny. We often share the same interests and were both indulged in journalism. After a tiring day at school, my family had a special dinner in celebration of yesterday's (monday's) court hearing. My dad was at the verge of victory, and a month from now, he shall have his rightful place at the halls of power and service. Being surrounded with political intrigues isnt easy especially at my age, since Im still a student, my family makes sure that I get the necessary protection I need; which is why there are times when I get easily irritated with some of school work due to my other personal commitments. I may sound mature but deep inside, I know, Im just a girl simply trapped in a woman's body.

Please dont laugh even though it sounds funny... Well, okay you may, but make sure you dont laugh at my face or thou shall suffer my wrath... hahaha Take care y'all!

running 5 kilometers

this was one of the most outragous things i did. i joined the milo 5km marathon without any question and without knowing what lies ahead. i just joined because my most of my classmates joined. i was not really planning to finish the race but i did. i ran 5kms! actually, i didnt run the whole race, there were times that i walked. i mean, most of the time, i walked. who cares! im proud that i finished the 5km marathon. some time in the race i regret why i joined. i was wished that i wasnt in that race and that i was in my bed at that time taking a nap with all comfort. but it was too late, i had to finish the race. if i stopped and call a tricy home all participants near me would laugh and think i was a loser. i had no other choice but to finish it. to my luck, i reached the finish line! that was a great experience although it was stupid. and thank God i didnt fall or faint while in the race. thank God!!
